Online Tutoring in the UK

Our 14:00–22:00 PKT classes are 09:00–17:00 GMT and 10:00–18:00 BST, so the end of our day is your after-school slot. Edexcel, AQA and Cambridge OCR GCSE Maths.

The short answer
Our weekday classes run 14:00–22:00 PKT, which is 09:00–17:00 GMT in winter and 10:00–18:00 BST in summer. The end of our day is the UK after-school slot: a 21:00 PKT class is 16:00 GMT. We teach GCSE Mathematics on the Edexcel, AQA and Cambridge OCR specifications.

Our class times where you are

Weekdays: 09:00–17:00 GMT in winter, 10:00–18:00 BST in summer. For a pupil finishing school at 15:30, the bookable window is roughly 15:30–17:00 GMT (16:30–18:00 BST) — the last ninety minutes of our teaching day.
Weekends: 05:00–15:00 GMT, 06:00–16:00 BST. The early hours are unusable in the UK; in practice weekend bookings sit between about 09:00 and 15:00 GMT, which is 14:00–20:00 PKT.
Our time (Pakistan): 14:00–22:00 PKT · Asia/Karachi

The UK is 5 hours behind Pakistan in GMT and 4 hours behind in British Summer Time. UK clocks go forward on the last Sunday in March and back on the last Sunday in October; Pakistan never changes its clocks, so the gap narrows by an hour for the BST period. There is a three-week window each spring where the offset has not yet changed — we re-confirm slots in late March rather than assuming.

What 21:00 PKT is in London

The useful half of our timetable for a UK family is the second half. A class at 18:00 PKT is 13:00 GMT, which is the middle of the school day and no use to anyone. A class at 21:00 PKT is 16:00 GMT — half an hour after the school gate.

That gives a genuine after-school window of roughly ninety minutes on weekdays in winter, extending to about 18:00 in British Summer Time. Families who want more than that book weekend sessions, where the overlap is wider.

Three GCSE boards, and they are not interchangeable

Edexcel 1MA1 and AQA 8300 both set three papers of 1 hour 30 minutes and 80 marks, with Paper 1 non-calculator. Cambridge OCR J560 sets six papers, three per tier, at 100 marks each — and its non-calculator paper is Paper 2 at Foundation and Paper 5 at Higher.

A student revising from generic advice that Paper 1 is the non-calculator paper will prepare for the wrong conditions on J560. We confirm the entry before building a revision order, and it is the first thing we ask a pupil who has changed school.

Four systems, four calendars

England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland run separate curricula and separate exam calendars. Scottish results land two weeks before A level results, and from February 2026 Scottish qualifications are administered by Qualifications Scotland rather than the SQA.

We are direct about the limits of that. Our GCSE Mathematics programme teaches the content a National 5 candidate needs, but National 5 is a different qualification with a different paper structure, and we say so before a Scottish family enrols rather than after.

The dates a Year 11 family plans around

The 2026 GCSE written series runs from about 4 May to 26 June, with results on Thursday 20 August. A level exams run from about 11 May to 23 June, with results on Thursday 13 August, the same day UCAS confirmation and Clearing open.

Working backwards from those dates is the whole of a revision plan. February half term and the Easter break are the two points where a student can add hours without losing school time, and they are where our UK weekend load concentrates.

How we work with UK families

GCSE Mathematics runs as 90-minute sessions, two to four a week, in groups of no more than four. The reasoning and problem-solving objectives account for 60% of a Higher paper, and those marks are earned in written working that a tutor has to read pupil by pupil.

Tier advice is given on evidence. We work a full past series under timed conditions before recommending Foundation or Higher, and we will say that Foundation is the better route to a grade 5 when that is what the paper shows.

Common questions

What time are your classes in UK time?

Our weekday block of 14:00–22:00 PKT is 09:00–17:00 GMT, or 10:00–18:00 during British Summer Time. Most UK pupils book the final ninety minutes, which lands just after the school day ends.

Do your class times shift when the clocks change?

Our times never move, because Pakistan does not observe daylight saving. What moves is the UK clock, so the same PKT slot becomes an hour later in local terms from late March to late October. We re-confirm slots at both changeover weekends.

Which GCSE Maths board do you teach?

Edexcel 1MA1, AQA 8300 and Cambridge OCR J560. The structures differ — J560 uses 100-mark papers and its non-calculator paper is not Paper 1 — so we teach to the board a student is actually entered for.

Can you help with the 11-plus or Key Stage 2 SATs?

We teach the mathematics content through our primary and middle programmes. Selective-entry testing varies by local authority and we do not claim familiarity with every area's paper, so we ask which test a family is preparing for before agreeing to take it on.

Do you work with Scottish pupils?

Yes, for the mathematics itself. But National 5 and Higher are Scottish qualifications on a separate calendar, with a different paper structure from GCSE, and we tell Scottish families that plainly before they enrol.
